European Indoor Athletics Championships 2009

The 30th European Indoor Athletics Championships took place from 6 to 8 March 2009 at the Oval Lingotto arena in Turin ( Italy ). The competition was attended by 520 athletes from 42 countries [1] . 26 sets of medals were won (13 each for men and women).

a On June 30, 2014, the International Association of Athletics Federations in its monthly newsletter reported on sanctions against the Russian runner at 1,500 meters, Anna Alminova . Based on the deviations of blood parameters recorded in the biological passport, the athlete was disqualified for 30 months (from December 16, 2011 to May 15, 2014). In addition, all of its results, shown after February 16, 2009, were canceled, including the β€œgold” of the European Indoor Championships - 2009 at a distance of 1500 m with a score of 4.07,76 [2] .
