Biography
He graduated from the Kamenetz-Podilsky Agricultural Institute (1970-1975) with a degree in livestock. He worked in the village of Zhovtnevo in the Ivano-Frankivsk regional inter-collective farm association as a livestock specialist, later as a senior livestock specialist in the Kelmenetsky district department of agriculture. He continued his activities in the Kelmenetsky district committee of the Komsomol and the Communist Party of Ukraine , then was the head of the Kelmenetsky inter-district tribal association, and also worked in the Chernivtsi regional committee and Zastavnovsky district committee.
In 1989 he graduated from the Higher Party School with a degree in Political Science, continuing his activities in the Zastavnovsky District Committee and the District Council of People’s Deputies. After the collapse of the USSR, he was the head of the Kelmenets customs. In 1995, he graduated from Chernihiv State University with a degree in law (master), then worked as head of the Khotyn district state administration ( Chernivtsi region ). In March 1998, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the III convocation of the 205th district. He was a member of the SDPU (o) faction from 1998 to 2000, from February 2000 a member of the Solidarity group. He was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. From 2005 to 2006, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IV convocation from the block of Viktor Yushchenko "Our Ukraine" at number 89 in the list.
Married, has two children (son and daughter).
