Club career
He began his adult career in the Vilnius Zalgiris , made his debut in the 1989/90 USSR Cup match. Since 1990, he played for альalgiris in the Lithuanian championship , became the country's champion in the seasons 1991 and 1991/92, and won the Lithuanian Cup four times.
In 1997-2004, with a short break, Preiksaitis played for foreign clubs.
In early 1997, he signed a contract with the Moscow Torpedo , made his debut in the top division of Russia on March 17, 1997 in a game against Shinnik [2] . As part of Torpedo, he played 16 matches (2 goals) in the Russian Championship, 1 match in the Russian Cup and 6 matches (1 goal) in the Intertoto Cup.
In August 1997, Preiksaitis moved to another club of the major league of Russia - KAMAZ-Challi , made its debut on August 9, 1997 in a match against his former club Torpedo [3] . For KAMAZ, Aydas played 6 matches in the Russian Championship and 1 match (1 goal) in the Cup of the country.
In the winter of 1997/98, Preikšaitis moved to Poland, where he played for the clubs of the top division of the Polish championship - Katowice , Stomil , KSZO Ostrovets , Wisla (Plock) , Sweet . In total in the championships of Poland he played 84 matches and scored 6 goals. During these six years, he several times left Poland and played for the German clubs of the third and fourth divisions - Union Berlin and Kickers Emden , and also briefly returned to the Lithuanian Zalgiris.
In 2004, Preikšaitis returned to Lithuania and spent three seasons in Vilnius “ Wind ”, in 2006 at the age of 36 he completed his professional career.
In recent years, playing at the amateur level for the Vilnius Prelegentai.
International Career
Aidas Preikšaitis was first called up to the Lithuanian national team in 1992 by coach ендenderis Giršovičius. He made his national team debut on July 11, 1992 in the match of the Baltic Cup against Estonia (1: 1) [4] .
In the next three years, Preikšaitis was not called up to the national team, and since 1995 he began to play for her regularly. His last match in the national team was the game on September 6, 2006 against Scotland.
