According to the 2000 census [1] , 10,995 residents of the 3,776 households and 2,718 families live in the okrug. The population density is 2.00 people per km 2 . There are 4,296 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 1.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 76.27%, African - Americans - 0.14%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 1.42%, Asians - 0.45%, Hawaiians - 0.08%, representatives of other races - 19.54 %, representatives of two or more races - 2.14%. Hispanics accounted for 24.43% of the population, regardless of race .
Of the total households, 38.91% are children under the age of 18, 62.60% of households are married couples living together, 8.87% of households are single women without a spouse, 22.70% of households households are not related to families , 18.13% of households consist of one person, 7.40% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 2.90 people and the average family size is 3.28 people.
