History

The group was formed in 1999 by vocalist Johnny Aikon, and was called the “Blue Obsession”. Later, the group changed its name first to “Icon”, and then to “Icon & The Black Roses”. After recording a demo, an EP and a debut album, the group disbanded in 2005. Reunited in 2011, Aikon and Rose with a new line-up began work on their second album, which was released in 2013 [1] [2] [3] [4] . At the same time, one of the songs of the group is included in the soundtrack of the game " Rock Band 3 ".

Music critics often note the similarity of most songs with the work of the Finnish group " HIM " [5] [6] [7] .
