Biography

He was born and lived his whole life in the village of Staroe Akhperdino, Batyrevsky District, Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in a peasant family.

In 1952–1960, there was a fattening cattleman, from 1960 to 1979 he was a pig mechanic at the Guardsman farm, 1979–1982 - the operator of the fattening workshop at the Yuzhnoye farm, from 1982 until the retirement of the Guardsman collective farm.

One of the first in the region began to care for 500 fattening pigs. Then the serviced livestock was brought to 600. The average daily gain was 500–600 g.

For the successes achieved in the development of animal husbandry, pioneering work and high rates in pork production, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 22, 1966, N. V. Kargin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.

He was elected a delegate to the XXIII Congress of the CPSU.

Family: wife Elena Makarovna, two sons and 2 daughters.
