Ortheziolacoccus fercsii (lat.) Is a species of small lamellar worms in the Ortheziidae family. Endemic of Tanzania [1] .

Africa : Tanzania (at an altitude of 1680 m) [1] .
Description
Small plate worms . From above, the back of the females is covered with white wax plates. Found on leaves, feed on plant juices. The apical segment of the antennae has a length of 560 μm. Tibiotarzus (drumstick + tarsus) of the hind leg has a length of 830 microns. This species is similar to O. benedictyae and O. williamsi in the presence of a narrow region in the dorsomedial part of the chest and abdomen and in the presence of triangular wax plates on the hind two pairs of legs. The species was first mentioned under this name in 1999 by the Hungarian entomologist Ferenc Kozáry (Plant Protection Institute, Center for Agricultural Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest , Hungary ), and was scientifically described in 2000 [2] . The taxon is included in the genus Ortheziolacoccus Kozár, 2004 together with the species O. angolaensis , O. barrosmachadoi , O. demeteri , O. williamsi , O. benedictyae , O. giliomeei , O. jermyi , O. madecassa , O. mahunkai , O. millari , O. multisetosus , O. nelliae , O. saringeri , O. ethiopiensis and others [1] [3] [4] .
