Silvia Neid ( German: Silvia Neid , May 2, 1964) - a former German soccer player who played as a midfielder , head coach of the German national team in 2005-2016. Career

Club

Sylvia Nade’s career began at the SV Schlierstadt football club, later renamed Kling . In 1983, she transferred to Bergisch Gladbach , and in 1985 to the Sportfroinde (Siegen) sports complex. During the club career, she became the seven-time champion of the German Bundesliga (1983/84, 1986/87, 1989/90, 1990/91 , 1991/92 , 1993/94 and 1995/96 ) and the six-time winner of the German Cup ( 1983/84 , 1985 / 86 , 1986/87 , 1987/88 , 1988/89 and 1992/93 ). In 1996, she completed her career as a professional player and started coaching [4] .

Team

The first match in the T-shirt of the national team Nayd held November 10, 1982 against Switzerland . Naid entered the field in the 41st minute and scored two goals [5] . As a member of the national team, she became vice world champion ( 1995 ) and three-time European champion ( 1989 , 1991 and 2005 ). Following the results of the European Championship in 1991, she became the “golden player” of the tournament [6] . The last match in the national team was held at the 1996 Olympics in a match against Brazil [5] .

Coaching

Nayd became the head coach of the German women's team on June 20, 2005 [7] . During her work, she led the national team to the world champion titles ( 2007 ), European champion ( 2009 , 2013 ). Twice, in 2010 and 2013 , she was recognized as the best coach of women's teams according to FIFA . She left the post of head coach after winning the 2016 Olympic Tournament in Rio de Geneiro.
