Biography

Born in 1959 in Transcarpathia in a family of Carpatho-Russians. “I was in the MP until I was 20 years old. And the Psalter already went to read about the dead and about health. Mom was only rewritten by hand ” [1] .

In 1974, he became acquainted with Hieromonk Meletius (Ruschak) [2] , a monk of the Holy Mount Athos , and grew up under his spiritual guidance.

After committed in 1981 on the day of holy torment. Julian baptism, Hieromonk Meletius did not bless the young man to attend the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church . The search for a legal hierarchy, which lasted about 30 years, in the last year of the life of Hieromonk Meletius was overshadowed by the fact that in 1983, being misled by the false bishop Gennady Sekach, in the last three months of his life he began to remember Gennady as the legitimate bishop.

In February 1983, Fyodor Bonhun was tonsured a monk with the name of Seraphim and, in the jurisdiction of the Sekachevites, was ordained to the rank of Hierodeacon and Hieromonk . The Holy Panteleimon Monastery in Transcarpathia, after the death of the founder Hieromonk Meletius († September 30, 1983), came under the spiritual leadership of Hieromonk Seraphim.

In 1992, hieromonk Seraphim met with the old man Epiphanius (Chernov), as a result of which the hieromonk refused the priesthood, which was accepted in the jurisdiction of the Sekachevites, and wrote a petition to the Synod of the CPI of Greece to accept him as a layman in the True Orthodox Church of Greece. After the death of the elder Epiphanius, since 1995, Fyodor Bon was under the spiritual direction of Metropolitan Kirill Mesogeos (Kondoyannis) , who monastic tonsured him, and on November 2 (15), 1997 , on the anniversary of the death of Hieromonk Epiphanius (Chernov) († 1994), Metropolitan Kirik was ordained hierodeacon Seraphim in the rank of hieromonk .

In 2002, the congregations of the Russian Catacomb Church, Hieromonk Seraphim, was elected a candidate for bishop. May 12 (25), 2008 , in the church of St. Xenia in Limassol , on the feast day of St. Epiphanius of Cyprus , which fell on the Samaritan Week , Metropolitan Kirill Mesogeian , Bishop Gerranty of Urancian ( Orthodox Church of Romania) and Kenyan Matthew (Muroki) of Kenya (Bishop of Kenya) performed the bishop’s archpriest [3] .
