History
1944 - 1991
The company was established on May 11, 1944, the first products were biscuits, cookies and gingerbread.
In the 1940s, the production of caramel sweets “Mint”, “Duchess” and “Barberry” was mastered, in the 1950s - the candies “Start”, “School”, sugar cookies “Chess” and “Milk”.
In the 1960s - 1970s, the factory produced sweets "Swallow", " Bird's Milk ", " Grilyazh ", "Meteorit".
In the 1980s, the main products of the company were sweets “ Belochka ” and waffles “Artek”.
In Soviet times, the confectionery factory was among the leading enterprises of the city [1] [2] [3] .
After 1991
After the independence of Ukraine was declared , in 1993 the state enterprise was privatized and later transformed into a joint-stock company .
In the 1990s, the factory mastered the release of Grandma's Tales.
In 2010, the product range was updated - the first factory on the territory of Ukraine began commercially producing unglazed nougat - in the form of sweets under the name “Richwell Italian”. In total, in 2010, the factory produced products for 874,513 thousand hryvnia [4]
In September 2011, CJSC Zhytomyr Laskoschi was transformed into a company with additional responsibility [5] .
In 2012, the production of fudge- type milk toffee (under the name “Milk pot”) was mastered.
In October 2012, the Richwell Italian sweets with almonds received an award at the 13th Sweet Triumph 2012 tasting competition, which was held as part of the Sweets & Bakery Ukraine, a specialized exhibition of the confectionery and bakery industry [6] .
In December 2012, part of the products received a Halal certificate [7] [8] .
On December 26, 2012 in Kiev, the Dôma brand confectionery shop was opened [9] .
As of 2013, the factory had 7 workshops and 28 production lines, the production capacity provided the ability to manufacture 80 thousand tons of confectionery products per year, the total number of employees was 1,800 people [10] . The trading network consisted of 14 brand stores [11] . In 2013, the factory produced 4.37% of the total amount of confectionery produced in Ukraine and sold products worth over 930 million hryvnia (more than 35% of the manufactured products were exported). During 2013, the company installed a Dutch automated production line for the production of sweets; in November 2013, new samples of confectionery products were added with the addition of stevia extract [12] (the release of which was developed in February 2014 under the trademark "Stevix") [ 13] .
After the launch of the vertical packaging machine made in Germany in February 2014, the factory began producing candy in a package of the "stabilo bag" type (bag with sealed side folds) with a capacity of 165 to 200 grams [14] .
In June 2014, the factory began producing sweets for children from 3 years of age (the “Masha and the Bear” line) [15] .
In May 2015, the company began producing confectionery products for the corporation " Auchan " [16] .
Current State
The factory is one of the five leaders in the confectionery market of Ukraine. Is one of the largest taxpayers in the Zhytomyr region [17] [18] .
Zhytomyr Lasaschi produces a wide range of confectionery products (boxed candies , chocolate bars , glazed and unglazed candies, chocolates, snacks, chocolate-waffle candies, cookies , waffles , fudge ), as well as lean and dietary products (cereal bars, yoghurt -grain desserts and products without sugar) [1] </ ref>.
The distribution of CJSC Zhytomyr Lasoschi in Ukraine has 25 distribution partners and 4 trading houses in Kiev, Zhytomyr, Dnepropetrovsk and Simferopol. Products "Zhytomyr Lask" are exported to 26 countries. Among them are CIS countries, EC countries, countries of the Middle East, the USA, China, New Zealand, etc. The Zhytomyr Lasoschi confectionery company enters the Chinese market] </ ref> [19] .
