Dramometer ( eng. Drum - drum, meter - counter) - a device for measuring the speed of playing the drums .

The first prototype of the device was created in 1999 by American drummers Boo McAfee and Craig Alan. It was first presented at the PASIC Convention in Columbus , Ohio , USA . After receiving a lot of positive reviews about the new device, Bu McAfee and Craig Alan continued to work on a prototype, and in 2000 the first mass version appeared on sale.

A modern modification of the drumometer is called - DRUMOMETER MODEL II. It is the official measuring device for the World Fastest Drummer international drum competition. The best results are entered in the Guinness Book of Records. the device allows you to determine the speed of single punches with your hands and feet using special sensors.

In addition to drum sport, the drumometer is used by teachers and professional drummers for regular classes and for working with students. The device allows you to record the achievements of the drummer, monitor his technical progress, as well as hold competitions among students of the drum class, stimulating students to active classes.
