It was one of the 49 basic units of the administrative division of Poland , which were abolished as a result of the administrative reform of Poland in 1998 . Covers an area of 8205 km². The administrative center of the voivodship was the city of Pyla . After the administrative reform, the voivodship ceased to exist and its territory ceded for the most part to the Greater Poland Voivodeship , partly to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( Walecki County ).
