Ophionyssus javanensis (lat.) Is a species of ticks of the Macronyssidae family from the order Mesostigmata ( Dermanyssoidea ). Found in Indonesia ( Java Island). Ectoparasites of lizards [1] [2] [3] .

Description
Small ticks, body length less than 1 mm (female idiosome length 687 μm, width 440 μm). The front dorsal shield is covered with 12 pairs of bristles. They have only two dorsal scutes in females (large cephalothoracic and small rounded pygidial) and one in males. Parasitize on the lizards of the Skink family [1] [2] .
