According to the 2000 census [1] , 3,030 residents of 1,246 households and 817 families live in the okrug. The population density is 2.00 people per km 2 . There are 1,529 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 1.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 96.90%, African Americans - 1.02%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.56%, Asians - 0.13%, Hawaiians - 0.00%, representatives of other races - 0.56 %, representatives of two or more races - 0.83%. Hispanics made up 1.75% of the population, regardless of race .
Out of the total number of households , 28.30% are children under the age of 18 years, 54.60% of households are married couples living together, 7.60% of households are single women without a spouse, 34.40% of households households are not related to families , 31.10% of households consist of one person, 14.90% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone.
