William Paca ( eng. William Paca ; October 31, 1740 - October 23, 1799 ) - American lawyer and politician.

Born in the family of a rich planter, he studied at the College of Philadelphia, who graduated in 1759 with a bachelor of arts degree, and in 1762 received a master's degree there. After completing his education, he returned to Maryland , where he worked as an assistant attorney in Annapolis , and from 1761 had his own law practice. In 1771 he was elected to the Maryland legislature.
In 1774-1779 he was a delegate to the Continental Congress from the colony of Maryland, where he became one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence . He was later elected as the third governor of the state of Maryland and held this position in 1782-1785. There was also a federal judge of the United States.
