According to the United States Census Bureau , the county’s total area is 1,243,201 km 2 , of which 1,170.681 km 2 are land and 72.520 km 2 or 5.900% are water bodies.

According to the 2000 census [1] , 107 120 residents of 41 599 households and 25 583 families live in the okrug. The population density is 91.00 people per km 2 . There are 43,479 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 37.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 94.20%, African - Americans - 1.10%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 2.41%, Asians - 3.15%, Hawaiians - 0.02%, representatives of other races - 0.27 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.03%. Hispanics made up 0.92% of the population, regardless of race .
