Eduard Schwitzer ( German: Eduard Schwyzer ; February 15, 1874 , Zurich - May 3, 1943 , Berlin ) is a Swiss linguist, a specialist in classical philology and comparative Indo-European linguistics . He specialized in the study of the ancient Greek language and its dialects. [2] The author of the comparative grammar of the Greek language, up to date relevant for Greek linguistics.

He served as professor in Zurich in 1912-1926, in Bonn from 1927 and in Berlin from 1932.
