Ship Description
Sailing corvette, one of the four corvettes of the same type. According to various sources, the length of the vessel ranged from 33.53 to 33.6 meters , the width from 9.14 to 9.5 meters, and the draft from 3.18 to 3.8 meters. The armament of the ship consisted of 16 guns. The first of the corvettes of this type, called the "Kazan", the second was built in 1816 [1] [2] .
Service History
The Kazan corvette was laid in 1806 in the Kazan Admiralty and, after launching on June 11, 1807, became part of the Caspian Flotilla of Russia . Construction was carried out by the ship foreman E. I. Koshkin [1] [2] .
In 1807, it was transferred from Kazan to Astrakhan by internal routes. He took part in the Russian-Persian war of 1804-1813 . From 1808 to 1813 went on cruising voyages to the Caspian shores of Persia [2] .
The corvette was dismantled in Astrakhan in 1818 [1] [2] .
