Club career

Emmanuel began his career at Canon Yaounde . With this club, he became the champion of Cameroon three times and won the Cameroon Cup . He also reached the Cup final of CAF Cup winners in 1984 (after being defeated on penalties from the Egyptian Al-Ahly club). [1] .

In 1987, Emmanuel Künde went to Europe by going to the French club Laval . [2] For the new team, he played 14 matches in the French Championship . The following season, he joined Reims , a team playing in League 2 . He played 32 league matches for the club, scoring 3 goals [2] .

Then Emmanuel Künde returned to his native country. He played one season for Prevoyans Yaounde , then moved to Olympic Mvol , where he ended his career. [3]

Career in the national team

Emmanuel Künde participated in numerous international tournaments with the Cameroon team.

For the first time he played at the 1982 World Championships , which took place in Spain . Cameroon did not pass the first round. Emmanuel Künde played in all 3 games in this championship: in matches against Peru , Poland and, finally, Italy . [four]

Then he took part in the African Cup of Nations in 1984 , which was held in Côte d'Ivoire . Cameroon won the tournament by beating Nigeria 3-1 in the final. In the final, Emmanuel Künde entered the field in the 84th minute of the game, replacing Bonaventure Jonkup . [5] .

The footballer also took part in the 1984 Olympic Games held in Los Angeles . [4] During this tournament, he played in matches against Iraqi and Canadian teams. Cameroon left the tournament in the group stage.

Then Emmanuel Künde participated in the African Cup of Nations 1986 , which was held in Egypt . Cameroon became a finalist, but lost to the hosts on a penalty in the final match. Künde himself took his shot in the penalty shootout. [6] .

Cameroon team did not make it to the 1986 World Championships . Künde also participated in the 1988 African Cup of Nations in Morocco . Cameroon again reached the final of the tournament. After completing his career, Emmanuel Künde began his coaching career. He spent the first two seasons at his first club, Canon Yaoundé . He managed to save the club from relegation and even bring it to international competitions. [ten]

Then he became the coach of the Gabon club " Bitam " in 1999. He won the first for his team Cup of Gabon . [11] In 2000, his contract was not renewed.
