History

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of 1792, A. M. Vilbrecht, on the site of a modern village, the village of Lupsha is mentioned [2] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, on the site of a modern village, the estate of the landowner Bestuzhev is indicated [3] .

LYUBSHA - the village belongs to the surety Dolgovosaburova, Fleet Lieutenant Ostashev and Major Neverchalov, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 32 m., 29 w. p. [4] (1838)


LYUBSHA - the village of the state councilor Izmailova and Messrs. Ostashevs, along a country road, the number of yards - 3, the number of souls - 13 m. [5] (1856)


LYUBSHA - the owner's manor at the Volkhov River, the number of yards - 2, the number of inhabitants: 8 m., 6 w. p. [6] (1862)

In the late XIX - early XX centuries, Lyubsha administratively belonged to the Issad volost of the 2nd camp of the Novoladozh district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1915 edition, a manor was located on the site of a modern village [7] .

According to 1933, the village was not listed in the Volkhov district [8] .

According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Seltso-Gorka was part of the Staroladozhsky Village Council [9] [10] [11] .

In 1997, 1 person lived in the village of Seltso-Gorka, Staroladozhsky volost, in 2002 - also 1 person (Russian) [12] [13] .

In 2007, in the village of Seltso-Gorka of the Staroladozhsky joint venture - also 1 [14] .

Geography

The village is located in the western part of the district on the highway 41K-059 ( Volkhov - Babino - Issad ), northeast of the center of the village of Staraya Ladoga.

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 23 km [14] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Volkhovstroy I is 12 km [9] .

The village is located on the right bank of the Volkhov River at the confluence of the Lyubsha River.

Attractions

  • Lyubshanskaya fortress is the oldest stone and earthen fortress on the territory of Ancient Russia at the site of the former mouth of the Volkhov River . It was erected at the turn of the VI – VII centuries , as a prison of Finno-Ugric tribes on the site of an older settlement, was rebuilt on a stone foundation about 700, and ceased to exist by the 10th century due to a change in the hydrological relief of the area [15]
  • The park of the estate Lyubsha, owned by the landowner Nadezhda Konstantinovna Izmailova
