Built in the second half of the 1750s, commissioned by Count Karl Sievers as a two-story baroque mansion. In 1779-1781 the estate was owned by Prince G. A. Potemkin , from whom it was bought by Empress Catherine II .
The ensemble in the style of classicism was created in the 1780s. presumably I.E. Starov for the new owner - Vice-Chancellor I.A. Osterman . At the beginning of the 19th century, the estate was owned by Prince P.P. Shcherbatov .
In the complex of buildings (rebuilt according to the project of Domenico Quadri and Petr Pavlov ) since 1828 there was a city psychiatric hospital in honor of the icon of the Virgin " Joy of All Who Sorrow " (with a house church), and since 1922 - the Forel Hospital.
After the Great Patriotic War, it was transferred to the Kirov factory and the Kirov town was arranged in it. In the 1950s, the ensemble was thoroughly rebuilt in the spirit of Stalinist neoclassicism .
At the beginning of the XXI century, historical buildings are occupied by the Kirovets recreation center [1] [2] , a factory dormitory and other institutions.
