Currently, the island is uninhabited and is accessible for visiting several days a year. The rocky nature of the island is almost devoid of vegetation.
The island is known for the summer house of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson [2] , who spent in it the summer months from 1964 to 1998, together with her life partner - artist Tuulikki Pietilä [3] .
After the death of Tove Jansson, the island was owned by Tuulikki Pietil.
