The Banner ( Belorussian. Banner ) is a village in the Slutsk region of the Minsk region of Belarus . The administrative center of the Znamensky Village Council .

Content
History
Until 1964, the village was called Startsevichi ( Belor. Startsavichy). It belonged to the Serednyakovsky village council of the Slutsk region. Poor people settled here, some of them went to beg. And they were called beggars or elders, and the place where they settled Startsevichs. In 1886, the village had 64 yards, a market, 616 inhabitants, at the beginning of the 20th century. 139 yards, 889 residents. As of January 1, 1998, there were 261 courtyards, 641 residents. [2]
In 1914, a zemstvo school was opened.
In the village there is a monument to fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War .
