In 1988, he began his career as a coach. Broos was named Belgium's best coach four times. All his successes were associated with work in his former clubs Anderlechte and Brugge .

Club career

Broos is a graduate of the football academy of the Anderlecht club. In 1970, he made his debut for the team in the Jupe League . At Anderlecht, Hugo played for 13 seasons and helped the club win the championship three times and win the Belgian Cup four times.
