Biography
Dzholdas Suleimenov was born on May 1, 1922 in the village of Poltoratskoye (now Saryagash district of the South Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan ). After finishing seven classes of the school he worked on a collective farm . In December 1941, Suleimenov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . Since January 1942 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By October 1943, the Red Army soldier Dzholdas Suleimenov was a reconnaissance platoon on foot reconnaissance of the 120th Rifle Regiment of the 69th Rifle Division of the 65th Army of the Central Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper . On October 15, 1943, Suleimenov was among the first to cross the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Radul of the Repkinsky district of the Chernihiv region of the Ukrainian SSR and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore, repelling a large number of German counterattacks and holding out until the main forces crossed [1 ] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 30, 1943, for the "exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown", Red Army soldier Dzholdas Suleimenov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal " Under the number 1610 [1] .
In 1945, Suleimenov completed junior lieutenant courses. In 1946, with the rank of senior lieutenant, he was transferred to the reserve. He lived at home. After graduating from the Alma-Ata Law School, he worked in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. He died in 1993 [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and a number of medals [1] .
