Content
History
On February 11, 1957, Pope Paul VI issued the bull “Ut spirituali” , which established the Diocese of Quilmes, distinguishing it from the Archdiocese of La Plata and the Diocese of Avellaneda (today - the Diocese of Avellaneda - Lanus ). The diocese of Quilmes was originally a suffragan one in relation to the archdiocese of La Plata.
On September 26, 2007, the Diocese of Quilmes became part of the church province of Buenos Aires.
