Creating a Corps
The corps was created on May 20, 1943 pursuant to the Decree of the State Defense Committee No. GKO-3275ss of April 30, 1943 [1]
1. To reduce the air divisions of the 90-aircraft composition available in aviation DD to 60-aircraft composition and to form from them the aviation corps of the DD, 2 air divisions in each case.
