Trionymus jonesi (lat.) Is a species of half-winged insects — a coccid of the genus Trionymus from the mealybug family ( Pseudococcidae [1] ).

South America : Falkland Islands [1] [2] .
Description
They feed on the juices of the roots of umbrella plants, such as Apiaceae : Bolax gummifera . The species was first described in 2004 by the English entomologist D. Williams (Williams, DJ; Department of Entomology, The Natural History Museum , London , UK ) together with the species Rhizoecus bolacis and became the first representative of the entire Coccoidea superfamily found in the Falkland Islands [1] [3] . Trionymus jonesi is included in the genus Trionymus Berg, 1899 along with the species T. aberrans , T. agrestis , T. albus , and other taxa [1] .
