"Bill Long Award" ( English Bill Long Award for Distinguished Service ) - a prize awarded to a player who has made an outstanding contribution to the Ontario Hockey League . It is awarded not at the end of the season, but for achievements over time.
The award was founded in 1989 and is named after Bill Long, who worked in the league for more than thirty years as a coach and manager of the clubs Niagara Falls Flyers, Ottawa Sixty Stevens and London Knights .
