Water Polo Arena ( azerb. Su Polosu Arenası ) is an arena located at the southern tip of the State Flag Square in Baku ( Azerbaijan ), designed primarily for water polo competitions . The arena is designed for almost three thousand places [1] . In 2015, water polo competitions were held in the arena as part of the I European Games [2] [3] .

History
For the first time, a water polo arena will be built in Baku, announced the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the First European Games of 2015, Mehriban Aliyeva , at the first meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Games, held on February 3, 2013, chaired by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev . It was also announced that a water polo arena will be built next to the Aquatics Center in Baku [4] .
It was commissioned in 2015 before the start of the European Games. [5]
