History

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, on the site of a modern village, the estate of the landowner Balkov is mentioned [2] .

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1915 edition, a manor was located on the site of a modern village [3] .

According to 1966, the village of Balkova Gora in the Volkhov district was not listed [4] .

According to data from 1973 and 1990, the village of Balkova Gora was part of the Staroladozhsky village council of the Volkhov district [5] [6] .

In 1997, 13 people lived in the village of Balkova Gora, Staroladozh volost, in 2002 - 19 people (Russian - 95%) [7] [8] .

In 2007, in the village of Balkova Gora Staroladozhsky joint venture - 12 people [9] .

Geography

The village is located in the northwestern part of the district on the highway 41K-385 ( Staraya Ladoga - Mestovka ), adjacent to the center of the village of Staraya Ladoga .

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 1 km [9] .
