Jan Mladek ( Czech Jan Mládek , born June 1, 1960 , Jindrichuv Hradec ) - Czech politician, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (since 2014), deputy of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (since 2013). Member of the Czech Social Democratic Party [1] .

Biography
He studied in elementary school in Drachov ( Czech. Dráchov ) and in Veselí nad Lužnicí ( Czech. Veselí nad Lužnicí ). He graduated from high school in 1979 in Sobeslav .
In 1979-1983 he studied at the Prague University of Economics [2] . Military service took place in 1983-1984 in the 91st pontoon regiment in Litomerice . In 1987-1989 he studied at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Charles University [2] , and in April 1990 he completed graduate studies at the Institute for Forecasting of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences ( Czech Prognostický ústav ), which was then led by Professor Valtr Komárek ( Czech Valtr Komárek ) In 1993-1998, Mladek collaborated with the Central European University in Prague / Budapest in the study of transformations and privatization in the post-communist states of Central and Eastern Europe. He has published a number of professional publications in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Twice served as deputy minister: for the first time in 1991-1992 in the Federal Ministry of Economics of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic, and the second time in the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic (in 1999-2001). From 2005 to 2006, Jan Mladek was Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD). As Deputy Minister of Finance, he represented the Czech Republic at the International Monetary Fund in Washington . From June 2002 to December 2005 he was a deputy of the Czech Parliament from the Czech Social Democratic Party, representing the Tábor and Český Krumlov districts. In the Czech Social Democratic Party, Jan Mladek works primarily as chairman of the National Economic Commission for the Social Democratic Party and shadow minister of finance of the Social Democratic Party. In addition, in the period 2008-2009, he served as director of the Masaryk Academy of Labor, that is, an institution freely associated with the party of the Social Democratic Party. Jan Mladek has been a member of CSDP since 1995. Before that, he was a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ) between 1987-1989. In the first half of 2009, he, as chairman of the board of the civil association Law, Solidarity and Information (Právo, solidarita a informace), was the publisher of Literaturnaya gazeta ( Czech Literární noviny ) [3] . He also served as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Česká pošta State Enterprise.
He holds the post of chairman of the national economic commission in ChSDP. In the period 2008-2009 was the director of the Democratic Academy. Masaryk. In October 2006, he again became director of the Czech Institute of Practical Economics. He was chairman of FONTES RERUM, an association to study economic, political and social sciences. He served as Shadow Minister of Finance of the CSDP. [2]
In January 2014, he became a candidate for the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) as Minister of Industry and Trade in the government of Bohuslav Sobotka . [4] . January 29, 2014 was appointed to this position.
Mladek supported the actions of Vladimir Putin towards Ukraine contrary to the official position of the Czech government [5] .
Mladek supports the idea of building new units of the Dukovany NPP . [6]
