Racial composition of the population: white - 63.56%, African - Americans - 35.03%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.13%, Asians - 0.19%, Hawaiians - 0.00%, representatives of other races - 0.59 %, representatives of two or more races - 0.49%. Hispanics made up 1.31% of the population, regardless of race .
