Ribbon pigeon [1] ( lat. Lycodon subcinctus ) is a species of snake family.

The total length reaches 100 cm. The head is wide, flattened. The body is thin and slender. Young individuals have a contrasting pattern of wide bright white stripes on a black background. The tip of the muzzle is black, and the rest of the head behind the eyes is white. By the type of coloring they resemble poisonous kraits. With age, the white stripes gradually disappear, starting from the tail. In adults, only small white marks at the neck may be noticeable.
He loves forest terrain, preferring to occupy not too moist areas. Often found in biotopes disturbed by humans. Spends all his life on earth. Active at night. It feeds on geckos and skinks.
This is an egg laying snake. The female lays up to 10 eggs.
It lives in southern China, in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines.
