Abraham Herzfeld ( Heb. אברהם הרצפלד ; born on June 5, 1891 , Stavishche , Russian Empire - August 30, 1973 , Israel ) - is a Zionist activist, a member of the Knesset of the first five convocations of the MAPAI party .

Biography
Abraham Herzfeld was born into a Jewish family in Stavische of the Russian Empire , now it is the territory of Ukraine . He studied in the yeshivas of the cities of Telšiai and Berdichev [1] .
In 1910, Abraham Herzfeld was arrested for revolutionary activities, and then exiled to Siberia . From 1914 to 1918 he was a member of the Poaley Zion party. Then in 1919, Herzfeld became one of the founders of the Ahdut HaAvoda party, and since 1930 he was a member of the MAPAI party [1] .
In 1914, Herzfeld repatriated to the territory of Palestine , where he worked as an agricultural worker on plantations in the Petah Tikva region [1] .
In 1951, Abraham Herzfeld was elected to the Knesset of the 1st convocation, and then re-elected to the Knesset of the 2nd , 3rd , 4th and 5th convocations. He served in the financial commission of the Knesset [1] .
In 1972, Abraham Herzfeld was awarded the Israel Prize for state activity.
Abraham Herzfeld died on August 30, 1973 in Israel.
