Scott County is located in Kentucky , USA . Officially formed in 1792, it got its name in honor of the American military leader and 4th Kentucky Governor Charles Scott . As of 2013 , the population was 49,947 people.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the county’s total area is 738.928 km 2 , of which 737.426 km 2 are land and 1.476 km 2 or 0.200% are water bodies.

According to the 2000 census [1] , the district has 33,061 residents comprising 12,110 households and 8,985 families . The population density is 45.00 people per km 2 . There are 12 977 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 18 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 91.94%, African - Americans - 5.35%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.26%, Asians - 0.50%, Hawaiians - 0.01%, representatives of other races - 0.82 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.13%. Hispanics made up 1.61% of the population, regardless of race .
Among 38.50% of the total number of households , children under the age of 18 live, 58.80% of households are married couples living together, 11.50% of households are single women without a spouse, 25.80% of households households are not related to families , 21.00% of households consist of one person, 7.00% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 2.61 people and the average family size is 3.01 people.
