Dingxiang

Dingxiang ( Chinese Exercise , Pinyin : Dìngxiāng ) is the county district of Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province ( China ).

History

During the Western Han Empire, these places were part of the Yantsuy County . During the Eastern Han Empire, in 215, Dingxiang County was separated from Yantsuy County.

Under the Western Jin Empire, the Jinchang County (晋昌 县) was separated from the Dingxiang County. When dinimperia astia Northern Wei in 426 from the county of Dingxiang was allocated the county of Puzzy (蒲 子 县). In 446, Jinchang County was annexed to Dingxiang County. Under the empire of Northern Qi in 562-564, the counties of Dingxiang and Puzzy were annexed to the county of Pinkou (平 寇 县). Under the Sui Empire in 590, the Pinkou County was annexed to the Suzhun County (秀).

Under the Tang Empire, Dingxiang County was re-allocated from Sürgun County in 621. Under the empire, Northern Song in 1072 Dingxiang County was again annexed to Xiujun County, but in 1086 it was recreated again.

In 1949, the Xinxiang Special District (忻 县 专区) was formed, and the county became part of it. In 1958, the Xinxiang Special District and Yabei Special District (区 专 区) were merged into the Jinbei Special District (区 专 区), while the Xinxian County was merged with Dingxiang County and the Xindin County (忻 定 县). In 1961, the Jinbei Special District was again divided into the Yabey Special District and the Xinxiang Special District, while the Xinxiang and Dingxiang counties were again divided.

In 1967, the Xinxiang Special District was renamed Xinxiang District (忻 县 地区). In 1983, Xinxiang District was renamed to Xinzhou District (忻州 地区).

In 2000, by a resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Xinzhou District and Xinzhou City County were disbanded, and the Xinzhou City District was created.

The county is divided into 3 villages and 6 volosts .
