Biography
John Anderson was born and raised in Clayton, Illinois . During World War II, he served in the US Coast Guard , where he met the artist Orazio Fumagalli, who became his lifelong friend. After the war, he entered the University of Iowa in the faculty of drama [1] .
An experienced actor, Anderson began on Broadway, including the appearance in the musical Paint Your Wagon in 1951. He later worked mainly in film and television. For his acting career, Anderson starred in more than 239 films, often starring in westerns. Thus, he appeared twelve times in the television series Smoke from the Trunk , eleven times in Strelka , and six times in Laramie . Other works by Anderson included Psycho , High Rides , MESH , Star Trek: The Next Generation , Specialist .
Anderson was married to Patricia Ann Cason until her death on February 18, 1989. John Anderson died of a heart attack at his home in Sherman Oaks, California on August 7, 1992 [1] . His body was cremated, and his ashes were taken to sea as part of his membership in the Neptune Society.
