South America : Brazil (Minas Gerais) [1] .

Description

Small scale insects , the body shape of females is sub-square, angular, convex (length about 2 mm), the main color is black (the males have a white shield). Pygidium triangular. They feed on the juices of Rhine-flowering plants, for example, such as Loranthus (family Rhine-flowering , Loranthaceae ). The species was first described in 1942 by the entomologist H. S. Lepage ( Lepage, HS ) under the original name Trigonaspis montei Lepage, 1942 [1] . The taxon Vinculaspis montei is included in the genus Vinculaspis Ferris 1942 together with the taxa V. atibaiensis , V. inclusa , V. laniata , V. lepagei , V. mamillata , V. mendicula , V. cheloniformis , V. virgata [1] [2] [3] .
