Career
Joyce Tafatata started playing sports at St. Andrews International High School in Blantyre . She participated in many national and international competitions, and set many records in her country. In March 2012, the athlete set six national records at the Malawi National Championship held at the Bishop Mackenzie International School .
At the age of 14, she first took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , where she became one of the youngest participants in the competition. At a distance of 50 meters freestyle Malawian took 47th place.
To further develop her sports career, Joyce moved to the Netherlands to be able to fully train and perform at major competitions.
