The Pyongyang Schoolchildren’s Palace is an extra-curricular educational institution in Pyongyang , the capital of North Korea . The building was opened on April 16, 1967. Basically, students of primary and secondary schools of the city are engaged in it. He is sometimes confused with the Mangunde Schoolchildren’s Palace .
The schoolchildren's palace consists of two buildings: a ten-story and a five-story. The building area is 50 thousand m², the total land area is 110 thousand m², the height of the ten-floor building is 48 m. In total, the building houses about 500 various circles and sections [1] .
The schoolchildren's palace is one of the most famous public buildings in the North Korean capital - along with the Art Theater, the National Palace of Education , the Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 .
The building is an object of interest for tourists, also, according to some data, schoolchildren coming to the country from foreign countries visit it with excursions.
