Career

In clubs

At the youth level, Wuttke played for Castrop and Schalke 04 . At Schalke in 1979, he made his debut in the Bundesliga . After the club flew out of the championship in the 1980/81 season, Wuttke could go to the USA to play for the New York / New Jersey MetroStars , Chicago or Los Angeles Aztex . But in the end, from 1981 to 1983, Wolfram Wuttke played for Borussia from Monchengladbach , and then again for Schalke 04. During his stay at Borussia, Wuttke gave the nickname Osram to head coach Jupp Heykens [1] . From 1983 to 1985, he played in Hamburg , in the first year becoming a member of the European Super Cup . For 5 years, before the reunification of Germany , Wolfram performed at the Kaiserslautern , and then went to Espanyol . He ended his career at home, in the Saarbrücken team.

In national teams

As part of the youth team of Germany, Wolfram Wuttke took 2nd place at the 1982 European Championships .

In the German national team, he made his debut on October 15, 1986 in a friendly match with the Spanish team [2] . Wuttke played one match at the 1988 European Championships . As part of the Olympic team of Germany, Wolfram spent 6 matches at the Games in Seoul and scored 2 goals.

Illness

In the early 2000s, Wolfram Wuttke fell ill with breast cancer , but later successfully recovered from it [3] .

In September 2013, he went to the hospital, where they did tests and found that the disease had progressed.

In March 2014, he successfully completed a course of chemotherapy. February 20, 2015 was in the hospital.

March 1, 2015, died of cancer, which caused a heart attack.
