Ignaz Čapka ( February 24, 1791 , , Moravia - June 5, 1881 , Vienna ) - Austrian lawyer and mayor of Vienna.

He studied law in Olomouc and Vienna.
In 1838-1848 he was the mayor of Vienna; among his achievements at the post was the provision of city lighting at night with kerosene lamps, the construction of water mains and canals. He was forced to resign from the post of burgomaster in connection with the revolution of 1848-1849 in Austria-Hungary .
From 1856 to 1859 he was the police chief (director of the city police - him. Polizeidirektor) of Vienna. Since 1859 - retired.
