Hydrology

Geomorphology

In the upper reaches (conditionally from the source to the bridge on the road to Perlitka), Nezhdanka has a large catchment area. Two large streams flowing into it, with a length of 3 and 2.8 km. In the middle course (conditionally up to the ford opposite the mouth of the Hospital), two large three-kilometer streams and several short right tributaries flow into Nezhdanka from the left. In the lower reaches two large right tributaries (Bolnichny and Kabaniy) flow in and the largest (left) tributary is Turpentine. In general, the Nezhdanki Valley evenly expands from source to mouth, reaching a width of 1.2 km in the lower reaches. In the middle and lower reaches, on the left side of the valley, a floodplain terrace is widely developed, composed in the middle course by sandy loam, in the lower - by loams and clays. In the lower reaches, swampy areas with small semi-overgrown ponds are observed in some places.

Nature

The Nezhdanka basin is mostly covered with broad-leaved forest, and to a lesser extent - mixed. Dubnyaks with impurities of other tree species are found on the slopes of the southern exposure, mixed (birch, larch, aspen) on the northern slopes. Dark coniferous spruce-fir taiga is found in shaded areas of slopes in the upper zone (above 600 m above sea level). In the valley there are swampy meadows, on the steep northern slopes of Sakharnaya, rocky sections, on the southern slope of the Yakut Mountains there are small rocky screes and birch woodlands, on the saddles of meadows and char.

Economic Use

Development History

In the middle of the 20th century (before the construction of the reservoir), logging operations were carried out in the Nezhdanka basin. In the area of cl. Turpentine cedar was cut down. Subsequently, cedar stumps were uprooted and turpentine was made from them. On the plots in the area of cl. The hospital prepared firewood for the Tetyukhinsky hospital.

Industry

Currently, logging in the Nezhdanki basin is prohibited, since the territory is a water protection zone of the Nezhdankinsky reservoir. However, logging is carried out in the upper class. Turpentine. Of the other sectors, mining was represented (mining of building materials (clay) and mining of decorative rocks at the Perlitka deposit), exploration was carried out on the slopes of the Yakut Mountains. To date, in the Nezhdanki basin, a road with a hard surface covering of regional importance, a relatively dense network of dirt and forest roads, a high-voltage power line, an explosive storage and a bulk dam with a reservoir have been built and exist.

Agriculture

This industry is represented by private households, which occupy a small area in the estuary, below the dam of the reservoir, as well as small mowings at the foot of Sakharnaya.

Leisure and tourism

Due to the fact that the Nezhdanki basin is located near the city limits of Dalnegorsk and at the same time is a water protection zone, environmental problems and rational nature management in this territory are some of the urgent. Anthropogenic load is significant throughout the year. Along the roads you can find unauthorized landfills for household and construction waste.

In the Nezhdanka basin, the population harvests birch sap, fern, and mushrooms. Since the Nezhdankinsky reservoir is located in close proximity to Dalnegorsk, despite the water protection regime, people bathe in the reservoir. In winter, a ski track is laid on the ice of the reservoir and on secondary forest roads. Among the attractions and tourist sites, one can mention Sakharnaya Mountain with the Cave Refrigerator, ponds in the lower reaches of the valley, Mount Nezhdanka (Perlitka), Vysokogorsky Pass and Yakut Mountain.
