Career
Modena
Marco began his football career at the Academy of the local club Modena . Here he studied football skills and at the age of 17 he began to fall into the Modena application for Series B matches. He made his debut for Modena in the 2009/10 season in a match for the Italian Cup against Novara. The main time of that match ended in a draw 1: 1, according to the results of the extra time the teams exchanged goals once more, and in the penalty shootout the Novara players were 4: 2 more successful. In general, that football season, 19-year-old Silvestri spent the nominal third number of the team behind the backs of the more experienced Enrico Alfonso and Antonio Narchisio .
Chievo and Leases
In August 2010, Silvestri moved to Chievo on a leasehold basis with the right to redeem half the rights to a player [2] , where he became the main goalkeeper of the Flying Donkeys Primavera (teams of players no older than 20 years). In addition to playing for the reserve, Silvestri was also involved in the preparation of Chievo for matches in the Italian Cup, but he watched these fights from the bench. Chievo completely redeems the rights to Silvestri, paying another 150 thousand euros. Marco began the next season a level higher, being leased to Serie B , this time to the Padova team. At first, Marco was forced to compete for the number one goalkeeper place with Ivan Pellicolli , however, on the last day of the transfer window, Pelizolli moved to Pescara. As a result, Silvestri ended the season with a full-fledged goalkeeper of the foundation, he had 25 matches, of which 8 were “zero” and 26 goals conceded.
Before the 2013/14 season, the Chievo management considered that the player was ripe for competition for the place of the first goalkeeper of the main team and they did not begin to rent it again. However, Marco did not manage to win the fight against the more experienced Christian Pujoni, having played “Chievo” only twice in the matches of the Italian Cup. On January 30, 2014, in search of a better fate, Silvestri moved on loan to Cagliari [4] . In Cagliari, Silvestri got a T-shirt with number 1, but he had been waiting for his debut for three long months and as a result played only 3 matches for the club at the end of the season, impressing his club owner Massimo Cellino with his game.
Leeds United
July 8, 2014 Marco Silvestri officially became a player in the English Leeds United , signing a contract for a period of 4 years [5] . According to various sources, the approximate cost of the transfer was 500 thousand euros.
