Story
Homer in Mo's tavern, and Bart at home, watching wrestling , the fight between Rasputin, Friendly Russian and Professor Born Barnaborn. Both sincerely believe that there is a real fight on the screen, although Lisa tells her brother that everything was rehearsed in advance in wrestling. Both see an advertisement on the screen: the extreme Trakosaurus auto-attraction is expected in Springfield this coming Saturday. They cannot miss such a show, but on Saturday Lisa performs as part of the school orchestra and wants to see the whole family in the hall. Then the Simpsons decide to catch up in both places, along the way they overtake a taxi in which Murphy Bloody Gums rides. As a result, they manage to ride, albeit with difficulty.
There is no free parking near the stadium, and Homer drives into an unfamiliar gate in search of a place. It turns out that he drove into the arena of the stadium, where they were mistakenly attacked by a mechanical monster, the Trakosaurus, and completely crushed the car. All family members are alive and well, but the car is in terrible condition. As compensation, the Simpsons receive a check, champagne and tickets for an extreme show. The special guest of this show is Captain Lance Murdoch. He performs an amazing trick: he successfully jumps on a motorcycle through a pool with sharks, electric eels, piranhas, alligators and a ferocious lion. But in the end, working for the public, Murdoch accidentally falls into the pool and is taken to the hospital with numerous injuries.
Murdoch's stunt inspired Bart, and now he wants to play extreme sports. The first attempt is unsuccessful and the boy ends up in the hospital with minor bruises. To discourage Bart from risking his life, Dr. Hibbert leads him to the ward, where in the state of varying severity are the same extreme people trying to imitate the tricks seen on TV. But Bart cannot be stopped by this. Especially since the plastered Lance Murdoch incites him to risk. Bart decides to jump on a skateboard through the Springfield Gorge, and the family tries to dissuade him. Parents both exhort, and command, and punish, and try to talk heart to heart, but nothing affects Bart. Then Homer decides to jump through the gorge himself to show his son what it is like to look at how a family member risks himself. Bart puts up with Homer and promises to never risk himself again, but the skate under Homer can no longer be stopped. He falls to the bottom of the gorge and is pulled out by helicopter, but the ambulance crashes into a tree, and the stretcher with Homer is back in the gorge. After two painful falls, he finds himself in the same room with Murdoch and tells him: “If you are so cool, try to raise my children.”
