Alf-Inge Rasdal Holland ( Norwegian Alf-Inge Rasdal "Alfie" Håland ; born November 23, 1972 , Stavanger , Norway ) is a former Norwegian footballer known for playing for Leeds United , Nottingham Forest and the Norwegian national team . Member of the 1994 World Cup .

Club career

Holand began his career playing for the Brune Club from the first division . Over the course of three seasons, Alf-Inge tried to help his team go to Tippeligue , but each time Brune remained one step away from the cherished ticket.

In 1993, Holland moved to English Nottingham Forest from Championship . On February 6, in a match against Leicester City , he made his debut for the Foresters. In his first season in England, Alf-Inge infrequently passed to the base and was an understudy for Stuart Pearce and Colin Cooper . As a result of the championship, the club entered the Premier League .

In 1997, Holland moved to Leeds United . The transfer amount was 1.6 million pounds. On August 9, in a duel against Arsenal , he made his debut for a new club. With South African Lucas Radebe, Alf-Inge was one of the most reliable defensive lines in the championship. In September of that year, in a derby against Manchester United , in a clash with Roy Keane , Holland injured the United captain. Alf-Inge thought that the Irishman was pretending and urged him to rise [1] , but Kina was carried away from the field on a stretcher and he was recovering for almost a year. In 2000, Holland moved to Manchester City . In April 2001, in the Manchester derby, Keen, who did not forget about the injury, deliberately injured Holland, almost breaking his leg in his knee [2] . At the end of the season, City flew to the Championship. Alf-Inge was not able to fully recover from the injury and, having played only three meetings after recovery, ended his career.

International Career

On January 19, 1994, in a friendly match against Costa Rica Alf Inge made his debut for the Norwegian national team . In 1994, Holand was included in the application for the national team to participate in the US World Cup . At the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Mexico [3] and Italy [4] .
