Ernst Leonard Lindelöf (1870-1946) - Finnish mathematician. The son of Lorenz Lindelöf . He graduated from Imperial University of Alexander (1890), he also studied in Gottingen and Paris (1893-1894), in Stockholm (1901). He worked at the University of Helsingfors (later - Helsinki) (in 1903-1938 - professor). In 1934 - an indispensable secretary of the Finnish Scientific Society.

Major works in the theory of differential equations, series theory and theory of analytic functions. A number of works are devoted to the theory of conformal mappings. An important role was played by his book Calculus of Residues and Its Application to Function Theory (1905). He also worked in the history of mathematics. Author of textbooks on higher mathematics.
