The magazine is devoted to the study of the Earth's relief and its processes. Scientific articles and notes on the geomorphology of land, coasts and seabed, paleogeomorphology are published; articles on the results of the applied use of geomorphological research materials and the application of new methods in geomorphology. Articles on neotectonics and paleogeography are published only if the issues addressed in them are directly related to geomorphology.
Discussions are published on topical issues of geomorphology. The journal also publishes reviews of new scientific papers on the above issues and chronicle-informational reports on held scientific congresses, conferences, and meetings.
It is included in the list of scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission .
