Biography

Born on March 4, 1911 in the village of Belozorye, now Cherkasy region, Cherkasy region in the family of an employee. Ukrainian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942. He lost his father early and since 1928 worked on the railway. In 1930, by the decision of the Smelyansky district committee of the Komsomol, he was sent as secretary of the Komsomol organization of the settlement commune "New Life" of the Teriktinsky district of the Ural region of Kazakhstan .

In 1933, drafted into the army. He served in the cavalry, graduated from the regimental school and was appointed foreman of the machine gun squadron. In 1935, after service, he returned to the New Life collective farm. He worked as deputy chairman of the collective farm. He graduated from a cooperative college in the city of Alma-Ata. He was appointed deputy chairman of the Burlinsky district consumer union.

Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. Again called up in August 1941. In 1942 he graduated from the Tambov Cavalry School. At the front in World War II from August 1942. He went from a company commander to a rifle regiment commander. Twice wounded.

On November 19, 1942, the company commander, Lieutenant Strizhachenko, received an order: to capture the village of Golovskaya in a night assault. He decided to move to the stanitsa camp column. Hitler’s soldiers in the light of the rockets saw a convoy moving confidently along the road and took them for their own. When the company entered the village, Strizhachenko gave a signal, and the convoy turned into battle formation. The enemy, not expecting this, began to randomly retreat and surrender. The headquarters of two enemy divisions were in the village. In this night battle , the command of the divisions, 90 officers, 1,020 soldiers, a large number of weapons and ammunition were captured. For the successful implementation of the order to seize the village of Golovskaya, Strizhachenko was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree.

On the night of September 26, 1943, the commander of the battalion of the 1118th Infantry Regiment, Captain Strizhachenko, was among the first to cross the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Petro-Svistunovo and attacked the German trenches. In hand-to-hand combat, he destroyed ten opponents from a machine gun. Having seized the bridgehead, the battalion for five days reflected the enemy’s counterattack.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 19, 1944 for courage, bravery and heroism, Captain Strizhachenko Alexei Abramovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .

In 1944 he graduated from the Military Academy named after M.V. Frunze. Since 1946, Major Strizhachenko is in stock. He lived in the city of Alma-Ata. Died March 3, 1989.
